I was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1952. In 1970 I moved to the Halifax, Nova Scotiawhere I still live. Unlike many from Cape Breton who still think of that as their real home, I have enjoyed living in the Halifax area and it truly is my home. I have no intention of ever moving back.
In June of 2007 I married a wonderful woman named Ruth. The wedding pictures can be found in my Picture Gallery. We own one cat, Alvin, although he would say that he owns us and that is probably a more truthful statement. He has a web page on this site Be sure to pay him a visit.
I have many interests...too many to list here. I worked at various jobs, mostly carpentry and wood-working until 1996. At that time I encountered a physical disability. Although it is not a serious disability, I had to give up that kind of work as a career. I still do woodworking as a hobby.
Since the late 1990's I have been playing music a bit more (I had stopped playing professionally in 1974). I teach harmonica and guitar lessons. I have played music since I was a child and you can find more info on that on my music page, the "Music Room".
I play in a band called Fog Along The Coast and another band/project called HomeFires. I do volunteer work and I work on web sites.
Almost everything else there is to know about me can be found on the various pages of this site. I hope you enjoy the rest of my web site. Thank you for dropping in.
Dave.
